1NEWS – The Palestinian government says it is the only solution to resolve its country’s conflict with Israel.

The spokesman for the Palestinian president, Nabil Abu Rudeineh, said that the only solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict was to establish a Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital.

According to Rudeineh, all proposals submitted in international forums will only lead to confrontation and war.

“All proposals, be it establishing a state with temporary borders or an entity or state without sovereignty, will not end the conflict,” he said in response to Israeli Defense Minister Benny Gantz’s statement.

The statement stated that the political solution with Palestine was to establish an entity for the two countries while maintaining Israel’s security hegemony.
