Cake Filling:

  • 265 grams of dates
  • 177 ml water
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Toppings:

  • 100 grams brown sugar
  • 100 grams of flour
  • 1/4 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 70 grams rolled oats
  • 6 tbsp butter, diced

How to make:

– Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius. Cook all the ingredients for the cake filling for 10-15 minutes over low heat or until the mixture hardens, remembering to keep stirring.

– After that, let stand until cool and add vanilla extract.

– Mix brown sugarflour, baking sodasalt, oats, butter. Knead until the dough is shaped like crumbs (no bigger than a pea).

– Then, pour the cake filling over the crumbs and cover with the crumbs on top. Bake until browned for 25 – 35 minutes. Let cool and cut into small squares.
