Three players will be preparing to leave the Giuseppe Meazza on a free transfer at the end of this season.
Crazy Ball – Six players’ contracts with reigning Serie A champions Inter Milan are due to expire at the end of the season, but three of them will be offered new contracts, while the other three will be released.
Nerazzurri wanted to slightly revamp Simone Inzaghi’s squad in the summer to give him a more competitive team to compete in the Champions League and confirm the team’s growth in recent years.
Some of those whose contracts are about to expire proved their worth to Inter Milan in the 1-3 win over Spezia at the weekend which will see them stay at the Giuseppe Meazza for next season.
The three players whose contracts will remain at the club are goalkeeper Samir Handanovic, full-back Danilo D’Ambrosio and winger Ivan Perisic. All three are still relied on by Simone Inzaghi throughout this season.
However, three other players namely Andrea Ranocchia, Aleksandar Kolarov and Matias Vecino will all be welcome to leave and leave the club at the end of the season when their contracts expire on 30 June 2022. Apart from them, there are also other players who are expected to leave the club such as Arturo Vidal.
Meanwhile, Inter Milan have been linked with a number of names to strengthen their squad for next season in a bid to continue competing for the Scudetto and talk more in the Champions League.
Nerazzurri have been linked with an attempt to repatriate Romelu Lukaku from Chelsea on loan, while they have also been linked with Giacomo Raspadori and Gianluca Scamacca from Sassuolo. For defence, Torino’s Gleison Bremer is their main target.
