Christopher Nkunku has established himself as one of the most fearsome pounders in the German League with RB Leipzig.
Crazy Ball – Former England goalkeeper Paul Robinson believes Christopher Nkunku has the qualities to succeed at Manchester United and hopes the club board will support their manager Erik ten Hag to make changes at the club.
The Frenchman is in top form for RB Leipzig this season having scored 30 goals and 19 assists in 44 appearances across all competitions and helping the club compete competitively in both the Bundesliga and European competitions.
In the German League, Die Bullen currently solidly in third place to return to the Champions League once again next season, while in European competition they are in the Europa League semi-finals to face Rangers.
Thanks to his impressive form at RB Leipzig, Christopher Nkunku has been linked with interest from a number of top European clubs, including a potential move to Old Trafford and is in the running for Erik ten Hag’s reshuffle at Manchester United.
Talk to Football InsiderPaul Robinson backed a move for the 24-year-old should he make a move to the Premier League, but also warned that he might need time to adapt like Jadon Sancho.
He said, “This is a big step for him. He’s had a brilliant season, and the Bundesliga has a real passion for producing the best talent currently playing in the Premier League. I don’t think he’s going to be a player who will click right away with the atmosphere of the league here.”
“He will probably need a little time to adjust, like Sancho did. It depends what Ten Hag wants. The dressing room needed to be shaken up, and there was a lot of dead wood that needed to be removed. He should be allowed to bring fresh blood and overhaul the club.”
