Daewoong pays special attention to the fields of DDS (Drug Delivery System) formulation technology, cell and gene therapy, neurotoxins, next-generation stem cell platforms, and artificial intelligence (AI).

Because UI was the host of this event, Daewoong co-founded a biotechnology research center at UI and formed a partnership by sharing Daewoong’s research techniques.

In addition, to foster talented human resources who can contribute to the development of the Indonesian pharmaceutical industry, Daewoong Pharmaceutical and UI also establish close cooperative relationships in fostering talent, by implementing global scholarship programs and credit score programs for postgraduate and doctoral levels.

“Daewoong Pharmaceutical and UI, especially the pharmacy faculty, cooperate not only for research activities but also for social contributions and industrial-academic partnerships,” said Arry Yanuar, Dean of the UI Faculty of Pharmacy.

“We also look forward to cooperation with Daewoong Pharmaceutical and the Indonesian government for R&D development, such as building new medical research centers and clinical laboratory projects,” added Arry.

Meanwhile, Daewoong Pharmaceutical is implementing various Open Innovation projects in Indonesia through PT. Daewoong Infion, including biopharmaceutical businesses such as Epodion (erythropoietic hematopoietic drug) and Easyef (epithelial cell growth factor), and joint research center operations with universities.
