Ramiro Alanis is probably the biggest fan Spider-Man: No Way Home. Guinness World Records just announced that the Florida man has just officially set a new world record for “most cinema productions attended of the same film.” Between December 16, 2021, when the film premiered until March 15, 2022, Alanis watched Spider-Man: No Way Home a total of 292 times. Keep in mind that this is a rather long film, so that’s a total of 720 hours, or 30 days to watch the same movie.

This is actually the second time Alanis has set this record, previously he broke the record in 2019 by watching Avengers: Endgame 191 times, surpassing the previous record of Joanne Connor from Australia who watched Bohemian Rhapsody 108 times in 2019. Last year, Arnaud Klein from France broke Alanis’ record by watching Kaamelott: First Installation 204 times. With Spidey’s latest big screen adventure, Alanis is finally determined to reclaim her record.

To break the world record again meant he had to watch the film back-to-back for three months until it stopped showing, watching the film five times each day for the first few weeks. He said that the most difficult part was watching late at night which caused headaches after watching the film many times that day.

To be counted in total, the film must be watched from start to finish, until the end of the credits. The activity also had to be done “apart from other activities,” which Alanis couldn’t go to the bathroom or even just look at her phone. Alanis must also submit any ticket stubs along with a statement taken from the cinema attendant or custodian of each show verifying that Alanis has watched the film without sleep or rest.

Alanis said he could actually remember and repeat the dialogue in the film at the last screening, estimating he had spent about $3,400 (48 million rupiah) on movie tickets. He noted that after watching the film nearly 300 times, his favorite part was “Andrew Garfield and his redemption.

Spider-Man: No Way Home it is by far the highest-grossing film of the pandemic era, grossing over $1.8 billion worldwide. Fans across the planet are thrilled to see three generations of Spider-Men come together for one exciting adventure, bringing together Tom Holland, Tobey Maguire, and Andrew Garfield.
