Donny van de Beek will have the opportunity to work with his former manager Water and Rights at Manchester United
Crazy Ball – Donny van de Beek is expected to find a new life at Manchester United following the arrival of his former Ajax boss Erik ten Hag at Old Trafford according to Paddy Kenny.
The Netherlands international midfielder joined the Premier League giants in the summer of 2020, but he failed to find regular playing time under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer which saw him go on loan to Everton during January 2022 under the tutelage of Ralf Rangnick.
It’s a shame that the 25-year-old has also not really featured at Goodison Park under Frank Lampard, while he has been heavily linked with a move away from Old Trafford after two unsuccessful seasons with Manchester United.
But now Donny van de Beek has found new hope as his former manager at Ajax Amsterdam, Erik ten Hag, is almost certain to step in to become the new manager for the club. The Red Devils in the next season with the Dutch coach is rumored to have agreed a contract with the Premier League giants for a duration of four years.
Talk to Football Insider, Paddy Kenny said the Dutch midfielder could replace Paul Pogba at United, saying, “If Ten Hag really comes in, then this is the last chance for Van de Beek). He has to start producing at Manchester United in the same way he did at Ajax. We all know how good he is. He’s doing well at Everton, but maybe not as good as some think.”
“You would think Pogba would leave Manchester United as well, so it made sense for him to be part of pre-season. He’s a great player, and as I said, we know how good he is; it’s just about how much he wants to succeed at Manchester United.”
