“Egy’s future at FK Senica is now unclear…”

1NEWS – Eight players went on strike including Egy Maulana Vikri and Witan Sulaeman during the match against Liptovsky Mikulas, Saturday (16/04/2022).

The team nicknamed ‘Záhoraci’ was forced to field the U-19 team because eight players decided to go on strike due to not being paid for months.

Fk Senica may be relegated next season if their financial problems are not resolved by the end of the season. For Witan, his status is safe because he will return to Lechia Gdansk. Meanwhile, Egy currently chooses to return home to spend Ramadan with the family of Egy Maulana Vikri, reportedly returning to Indonesia after a strike with FK Senica, after which he was not paid.

Can Play in SEA Games

The problem with the strike made Egy choose to return to Indonesia.

In uploading his Instagram Stories post on Sunday (17/04/2022), Egy was wearing a black skullcap with a small child in the car.

The return of this talented Indonesian talent could open the opportunity that he will join the U-23 Indonesian national team squad for the 2021 SEA Games.

However, so far there has been no official news whether the former Lechia Gdansk will follow or not.

The Garuda U-23 squad itself is currently in South Korea. Directly monitored by Shin Tae-yong, the Garuda Muda squad will train for maximum results at the 2021 SEA Games.

Later in South Korea, Marc Klok cs will not only focus on training. The plan is to have two trial matches against K League clubs, namely Pohang Steelers and Daejeon Hana Citizen. The Indonesian U-23 national team will be in a group with Vietnam, Myanmar, the Philippines and Timor Leste. While the other group contains Thailand, Malaysia, Cambodia, Singapore, and Laos.
