Former Indonesian U-19 national team player, Brylian Aldama, is being linked with Persebaya Surabaya.
Persebaya Surabaya coach, Aji Santoso, did not deny that the club, known as Bajul Ijo, had an interest in Brylian Aldama.
Aji Santoso said that Persebaya Surabaya had made an intense approach with Brylian Aldama.
However, Aji Santoso admitted that he had not directly communicated with Brylian Aldama.
“Brylian Aldama is indeed from Surabaya, from Sidoarjo,” said Aji Santoso.
“However, it is clear that until now I have not communicated directly with Brylian, but the manager has made contact,” continued the former Persela Lamongan coach.
Aji Santoso added that Persebaya Surabaya had offered a nominal salary to the 20-year-old player.
The salary is in accordance with the capacity of Brylian Aldama.
The reason is, Brylian Aldama does not yet have experience in the highest caste of Indonesian competition, Liga 1.
Brylian Aldama is currently without a club after leaving Croatian club HNK Rijeka.
“What is clear is that we have offered a price, which I think is appropriate for Brylian,” said Aji Santoso when met at the Jakarta International Stadium (JIS), Tuesday (19/4/2022).
“Because why? Okay, a lot of people know he’s good, but he’s also untested in the Indonesian League.”
“That’s why we have offered a salary which in my opinion is appropriate for Brylian, who has no experience in competing,” added Aji Santoso.
Aji Santoso can only wait for what kind of decision Brylian Aldama will take.
“He’s still young. Now it just depends on Brylian,” said the coach who was born in Malang, East Java.
“Until now there has been no definite answer,” continued Aji Santoso.
Meanwhile, Brylian Aldama, who has just completed his assignment with the Indonesia All Star U-20 at the International Youth Championship (IYC) 2021, will soon determine his future.
“Not only Persebaya, several clubs after I played here made a lot of contact, making offers to me,” said Brylian Aldama.
“After the tournament is over, I will decide where to go,” concluded the Surabaya-born player. (soccer)
