PSIS Semarang ended its collaboration with Beny Wahyudi. The two sides officially parted ways after the defender’s contract from Malang expired.
Beny Wahyudi was brought in by PSIS Semarang in the second round of the BRI Liga 1 2021/2022. He only appeared 3 times, that too as a substitute.
The former Madura United player has been on the bench more often since joining on January 8, 2022. Overall, he only appeared 94 minutes.
“We thank you for Beny Wahyudi’s dedication while defending PSIS during the last half of the season,” said PSIS CEO, Yoyok Sukawi in a release received by Bola.net, Thursday (21/04/2022).
Beny Wahyudi himself became the third player released by PSIS Semarang to welcome Liga 1 2022/2023. Previously, Laskar Mahesa Jenar also parted ways with Joko Ribowo and Fandi Eko.
Furthermore, Yoyok hopes that Beny Wahyudi can achieve success after parting with PSIS. He also advised the 36-year-old defender to continue to pass on his knowledge.
“For Beny, success is always the career after this,” added the man who served as chairman of the Central Java PSSI Asprov.
“Hopefully your experience as a national team player can be transmitted to younger Indonesian younger players,” he hoped.
