Wow, Henrikh Mkhitaryan Defects to Lazio Next Season?

Lazio are very interested in signing Henrikh Mkhitaryan from AS Roma after this season’s competition is over.

Crazy Ball – Henrikh Mkhitaryan’s future at Roma is not yet clear and Lazio are interested in signing him this summer.

The Armenian footballer did have a pretty good career with AS Roma. He came to the Olimpico on loan early, but the top teams in the Italian League decided to make him permanent after scoring 9 goals plus 5 assists in Serie A 2019/2020.

After being made permanent, Henrikh Mkhitaryan’s appearance is getting better with AS Roma. Last season the player scored 13 goals plus 11 assists. This season, his goalscoring record in the Italian League has decreased but the attacking midfielder is still quite consistent with collecting 6 assists so far in the domestic league.

Unfortunately, the former Manchester United player’s contract expires in June 2022. As a result, a number of clubs are interested and Lazio is the most prominent team who wants his services. Reported Tuttomercatowebthe team nicknamed The Eagle is interested in bringing Mkhitaryan.

Even though his tenure at Roma is about to end, Tiago Pinto as a high-ranking club AS Roma continues to try to keep the player. It is reported that he will soon meet with his agent in the coming weeks to discuss a new contract.

But Lazio are still very much interested in the 34-year-old, who has been one of the most consistent players under Jose Mourinho this season at AS Roma. In order to get Henrikh Mkhitaryan’s signature, Claudio Lotito as President of the club team nicknamed The Eagle will personally also persuade the player’s camp to leave the Giallorossi.

However, Lazio found obstacles because the former Borussia Dortmund player would rather play at AS Roma than move to city rivals Giallorossi next season.

If he officially joins Lazio, Henrikh Mkhitaryan will become the second player to be brought in from Roma after they previously brought in Pedro in the summer of 2021. Can Maurizio Sarri’s team get the former Arsenal player?
