1NEWS – Ronald Bintang Setiawan reach 2021 SEA Games bronze medal from the men’s individual triathlon at Sunset Bay, Tuan Chau, Quang Ninh, Vietnam, Saturday (14/05/2022).
Ronald finished the race with a time of 2 hours 1.350 minutes, behind the Filipino athlete Fernando Jose Casares Tan who successfully won the gold medal with a time of 1 hour 56,570 minutes.
On the other hand, the silver medal was won by Andrew Kim Remolino Abay who is also the representative of the Philippines. He finished the race with a time of 1 hour 59,160 minutes.

Another Indonesian representative, Aloysius Reckyardo Mardian, was in fourth place after finishing the race in 2 hours 2.59 minutes.
Ronald devoured the swimming track as the opener of the race with a time of 21 minutes 31.74 seconds followed by pedaling a bicycle track in 59 minutes 29 seconds before running to the finish line for 39 minutes 46 seconds.
The manager of the Indonesian Triathlon Team Dika Chrisna Irzandi admitted that he was quite satisfied with Ronald’s results, even though he was not in a good performance.
“Sufficiently satisfied with the results on the first day, of course with some notes for us to evaluate and improve, because Ronald was not in the best performance when he was running because of small details during the second transition,” said Dika as quoted by Antara News.
Apart from Ronald, Indonesia has two other representatives in the women’s individual triathlon, namely Inge Prasetyo and Nethavani Octaria who will appear today. Until this news was revealed, there was no final result.
