The target for Barcelona’s centre-back from Senegal has been set by Napoli.
Crazy Ball – Barcelona’s opportunity to get the signature of Napoli defender Kalidou Koulibaly is likely to materialize soon. The reason is that the Partenopei have set the selling price of the player.
Kalidou Koulibaly is one of the mainstay defenders owned by the top team in the Italian League. With his contribution, they have managed to challenge for the Serie A title this season and next season will compete in the Champions League.
The Senegal international had previously been linked with leaving Napoli. The defender is interested in a number of top European clubs. One of them is Barcelona.
Reported Diario SportKalidou Koulibaly will leave Napoli this summer and it is clear that the La Liga giants will be the next best club for the defender.
Koulibaly’s contract at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium expires in the summer of 2023 and is said to not be extending his tenure. As a result, Napoli will sell him at the end of the 2021/2022 season to avoid losing him on a free.
The news that the defender wants to be sold is of course good news for Barcelona, which has long wanted his signature. As is known, the Spanish League giants besides targeting Koulibaly also want Jules Kunde, who is now playing for Sevilla.
However, what needs to be underlined is that Napoli will not sell him cheaply. It was explained that the Partenopei could release it at a price of 30 million euros or the equivalent of 455 billion rupiah.
The 30-year-old footballer joined Napoli in 2014 and since then, the Spanish La Liga giants have made 314 appearances for Napoli to make him one of the best defenders in Europe. Barcelona has also recorded 57 caps for the Senegal national team which has won the African Cup of Nations this year.
