Bali United coach, Stefano Cugurra, spoke about his decision to recruit Jajang Mulyana in the Liga 1 transfer market this season.
Stefano Cugurra said, Jajang Mulyana is a senior defender who already has a long track record in the Indonesian League.
Together with Bhayangkara FC, the 33-year-old defender has also become an important player in the defense sector.
According to the Brazilian coach, the presence of Jajang will provide a sense of security in the heart of the defense of the Tridatu Army squad.
“First, we know that he has played at Bhayangkara FC for a long time and is often a core player there,” said Stefano Cugurra, quoted from the club’s official website.
“Bhayangkara FC is also a top team in Liga1. We need players like him here to help us,” the coach who is familiarly called Teco continued.
Last season, Jajang Mulyana became an important senior player in the defense sector of Bhayangkara FC.
In Liga 1 2021-2022, Jajang Mulyana was able to make 17 matches.
With the presence of Jajang, Teco will have an increasingly complete stock of defenders. So far, there have been six central defenders in the Bali United camp.
Apart from Jajang, Bali United’s five centre-backs are Willian Pacheco, Haudi Abdillah, Komang Tri Arta, Leonard Tupamahu and Gunawan Dwi Cahyo.
This is a distinct advantage for Bali United. Because the club from the Island of the Gods will not only continue its struggle to defend the 2021-2022 Liga 1 title.
Because Stefano Cugurra’s foster children will also represent Indonesia in the Asian club competition, namely the 2022 AFC Cup. (skor.id)
