The PSIS Semarang players began to hold a series of exercises to face the 2022/2023 Liga 1 competition at the Semarang Jatidiri Stadium, Tuesday.
PSIS Semarang physical trainer, Afif Prasetiwan, in a press release in Semarang, said that in this exercise the players who had returned to the team underwent a physical test to determine their condition after enjoying the competition holiday.
“This physical test is to determine the condition of the players after the competition holiday,” he said.
Some of the physical tests that Hari Nur Yulianto and his friends underwent, including tests of strength, endurance, speed, agility, and flexibility.
Afif said the results of this test would later become the basis for determining the portion of training for the players.
“To find out the physical level of the players and the adjusted training program,” he said.
The results of initial observations, according to him, the physical appearance of the PSIS players are still relatively good after the competition holidays.
However, he said, the exact results of this physical test will only be known in the next two to three days.
Previously, PSIS Semarang began gathering players to prepare for next season’s competition.
PSIS itself is also preparing three test matches ahead of the 2022/2023 Indonesian League 1.
PSIS plans to undergo two test matches at the Jatidiri Stadium in Semarang and one away match.
