Persib Bandung coach, Robert Rene Alberts, spoke about the presence of new players in his squad this season.

Ahead of the 2022-2023 Liga 1, Persib Bandung reorganized their squad.

As is known, Persib Bandung lost many players in the transfer market this time.

Persib Bandung star players last season such as Mohammed Rashid and Ardi Idrus decided to leave.

Instead, Persib Bandung brought in eight new players.

Unfortunately, only five of the seven players came to Persib’s inaugural practice on Tuesday (17/5/2022).

The five players are Fitrul Dwi Rustapa, Satrio Azhar, Eriyanto, David Rumakiek and Arsan Makarin.

Meanwhile, there are three players who are still absent.

Persib’s new foreign striker, Ciro Alves is absent because he is still in his hometown, Brazil.

Meanwhile, Rachmat Irianto and Ricky Kambuaya are still defending the Indonesian U-23 national team at the 2021 SEA Games.

Although not complete, the presence of this new player was warmly welcomed by Robert Rene Alberts.

“All of us in the team are delighted with the arrival of these new players,” said Robert Rene Alberts, quoted from the club’s official website, Wednesday (18/5/2022).

Many players lost apparently did not make Robert Rene Alberts feel worried.

According to Robert, this is common in modern football.

“It is normal for a professional football club to be abandoned by its players,” said Robert.

“But at the same time, there are also a number of players who have just joined,” he added.

Robert himself does not have a special way to make new players adapt to the club.

The Dutch coach allowed his players to adapt themselves to their new environment.

“In training, all the players gather together,” said Robert.

“Then we’ll be able to see how these new players fit into the team.”

“So, time will tell,” closed the former PSM Makassar coach.
