Amazon Studios have released the teaser trailer for their action-thriller drama series titled The Terminal List. Series starring Chris Pratt It is scheduled to premiere on Prime Video on July 1. Based on the novel by Jack Carr, this action-packed thriller tells of a Navy SEAL who becomes convinced that he is involved in a mysterious conspiracy.

The teaser which lasts almost two and a half minutes is quite good in describing the premise of the film. Chris Pratt’s character, James Reece, is the sole survivor of an attack on his platoon, and this raises questions. Reece is convinced that someone is after him, and paired with guilt, the paranoia feels overwhelming to him. This teaser offers some slick action — gunfights, car chases, and murders and also pretty much gives an idea of the conspiracy-thriller tone of the series.

Apart from Chris Pratt, The Terminal List also stars Constance Wu, Taylor Kitsch, Jeanne Tripplehorn, Riley Keough, Arlo Mertz, Jai Courtney, JD Pardo, Patrick Schwarzenegger, LaMonica Garrett, Stephen Bishop, Sean Gunn, Tyner Rushing, Jared Shaw, Christina Vidal, Nick Chinlund, Matthew Rauch , Warren Kole, and Alexis Louder. Pratt himself recently finished production of the third Guardians of the Galaxy film, and will soon be seen in Jurassic World Dominion.

Based on Jack Carr’s bestselling novel of the same name, The Terminal List follows Navy SEAL commander Reece and the events after a failed secret mission. Reece and his team are ambushed during the mission, forcing them to fight their way out despite the dangers. At first, Reece was overjoyed to have survived death and to see his family again, but as time went on, the events of that day continued to haunt him. He began to doubt his leadership and his own guilt for what had happened. The web of lies and conspiracies that led to the deaths of his teammates sends him on a new mission to find the truth and stop those who are endangering him and his loved ones.

Director The Magnificent Seven, Antoine Fuqua will direct Pratt once again in the series based on a script written by David DiGilio. This seems to be one of the most serious action roles ever.

FYI, this is not Pratt’s first Prime Video project; last year, the actor starred in The Tomorrow Warwhich reportedly had a budget of $200 million and became one of the most expensive films to debut live on stream.
