1NEWS – KNVB has confirmed that Erwin Koeman will join the staff of the Dutch national team led by Ronald Koeman. You Ronald Koeman it was appointed as assistant coach after 2022 World Cup.

Ronald Koeman will replace Louis van Gaal as head coach of the Netherlands after the World Cup later this year.

The KNVB have now confirmed that the former Everton coach will be assisted by his brother Erwin, while Patrick Lodewijks will be the goalkeeping coach. Danny Blind and Edgar Davids are currently assistants to Van Gaal and Frans Hoek is the goalkeeping coach, but all three are also expected to leave after the 2022 World Cup is over.

This is Lodewijks’ third time working with the national team, but this is the first for Erwin Koeman.

Erwin previously worked as head coach at Feyenoord, FC Utrecht, Oman, and Hungary, among others. The 60-year-old was recently head coach of Beitar Jerusalem but left at the end of 2021 and has made it clear he will no longer be working as head coach.
