Erick Thohir: Additional Energy Subsidy Budget Forms a State Present for the People

ACCURATE.CO Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) Erick Thohir welcomed the DPR RI’s support for the government’s proposal to increase the State Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBN).

This is related to the government’s proposal to provide additional subsidies and energy compensation for 2022 worth Rp. 291 trillion to the Indonesian House of Representatives, so that it becomes Rp. 443.6 trillion from the initial allocation of Rp. 152.5 trillion.

“The approval of the DPR ensures that subsidized fuel, LPG and electricity do not increase. This is proof that the state is present and continues to work hard, because it does not want to burden the people in the midst of global food and energy problems,” said Erick in a written statement received on Saturday (21/21). 5/2022).

As is known, if the specific details are given to the energy subsidy budget, Rp. 74.9 trillion is added, from the original Rp. 134 trillion to Rp. 208.9 trillion.

The budget consists of an additional fuel and LPG subsidy of Rp 71.8 trillion, as well as an additional electricity subsidy of Rp 3.1 trillion.

Meanwhile, specifically, the energy compensation budget increased by Rp. 216.1 trillion, from Rp. 18.5 trillion to Rp. 234.6 trillion.

This budget consists of additional fuel compensation of Rp 194.7 trillion, which includes diesel compensation of Rp 80 trillion and Pertalite of Rp 114.7 trillion, as well as additional electricity compensation of Rp 21.4 trillion.

Erick said that with the addition of the subsidy and compensation budget, the Ministry of SOEs ensured that Pertamina and PLN would continue to maintain the availability of energy for the community.

“We at the Ministry of SOEs together with Pertamina and PLN will focus on maintaining energy availability and providing the best service for the community,” he concluded.
