The controversy over Riki Dwi Saputro’s status at PSS Sleman has come to light. The attacker, who was born in Siak Regency, Riau Province, has said goodbye to Persekat Tegal.
Previously, Riki Dwi Saputro’s status became a question mark when PSS Sleman and Persekat compactly introduced Riki Dwi Saputro as a player for the 2022/2023 season. The introduction via the social media of their respective clubs inevitably caused a commotion among Indonesian football fans.
Upon further investigation, it appears that there is a communication problem. Riki Dwi Saputro defends PSS Sleman in Liga 1 2021/2022 with the status only as a loan player from Pesekat Tegal.
Well, this season Riki Dwi Saputro is included in the PSS Sleman scheme and has found a verbal agreement. However, there are several procedures that have not been completed by PSS Sleman, which makes Persekat Tegal still claim to be Riki’s owner because they still have a remaining contract.
Now both clubs have clarified the situation and Riki’s status is clear. In the near future, he will complete his transfer to Earth Sembada.
“Alhamdulillah, currently my transfer process has come to light and it’s just a matter of time before I officially join PSS,” Riki said in a club statement, Saturday (28/5/2022).
Meanwhile, PT PSS President Director Andy Wardhana Putra said he had received a reply letter from Persekat Tegal. PSS Sleman only has to complete several stages to inaugurate the transfer of Riki Dwi Saputro.
“Their response is positive and we are just waiting for some processes to be carried out, so that Riki Dwi officially joins PSS Sleman,” said Andy.
Seeing this polemic subside, Riki Dwi Saputro said goodbye to Persekat Tegal. Apart from apologizing, he also hopes that Persekat Tegal can have a good new season.
“I personally have been part of the Persekat family for one year, I want to apologize if there are mistakes in words or actions that are not pleasant. Hopefully Persekat can navigate the competition smoothly, can achieve the desired target, “he said
Riki is currently known to have joined with other Super Eagle Jawa players, attending a training camp in Kaliurang, Sleman.
