bbn/ Makes Offer of IDR 625 Billion for Robert Lewandowski

Spanish League giants Barcelona are rumored to have made an offer of 40 million euros or around Rp. 625 billion to Bayern Munich for Robert Lewandowski in the player transfer market this summer.
Quoted from Sky Sports, Saturday (25/6/2022), Barcelona saw a gap to land Lewandowski after Bayern Munich brought in Sadio Mane from Liverpool a few days ago.

Even so, Bayern insist they have no intention of releasing the Polish striker even though he has one year remaining on his contract at the Allianz Arena.

On the other hand, Lewandowski said he wanted to leave Bayern and had no intention of extending his contract with The Bavarians. He told the Bundesliga club to look for a new challenge, not a financial one.

According to Lewandowski, it is a wise move for Bayern to release him in the transfer market this summer because the club will get fresh funds from the sale of him.

“I still have one more year left on my contract, that’s why I asked the club to make a transfer,” said Lewandowski.

“I think this is the best solution, especially because the club will receive money from the transfer. I’m not forcing anything, it’s not about money. It’s about finding the best solution,” he continued.

Robert Lewandowski became an important part of the Bayern squad with 46 games recorded and contributed 50 goals and 7 assists during the last season.

During his time at Bayern, Lewandowski appeared in 373 games to make 344 goals and 72 assists, in addition to contributing eight German League titles, three DFB Pokal and one Champions League. (Source:
