Helping DGT, BNI Opens Cooperation to Improve Customer Service

ACCURATE.CO – Improving the quality of tax services is crucial in helping the government promote growth as well as national economic stability.

Ownership of a reliable information system management is one of the efforts of a country to realize stronger tax revenues.

PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk. or BNI (stock code: BBNI) as a development agent seeks to be proactive in supporting programs mandated by the government to the Directorate General of Taxes (DGT).

Meanwhile, the collaboration to improve customer service between DGT and BNI was signed by the Directorate General of Taxes and PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk at the Cakti Buddhi Bhakti Auditorium, DGT Head Office. On Tuesday (28/6/2022). Also present were Director General of Taxes Suryo Utomo and President Director of PT BNI Royke Tumilaar

Director General (Dirjen) of Taxes Suryo Utomo said this cooperation would include improving banking services related to taxation to support banking services and the implementation of taxation tasks.

“We appreciate BNI being proactive in helping to update the core tax administration system. The Core Tax Administration System [SIAP] cannot stand alone and need support from other institutional systems. Of course, we believe this step will provide optimal benefits for state revenues,” said Suryo.

On this occasion, BNI’s President Director Royke Tumilaar said that the company has the same commitment and vision to improve the quality of services to stakeholders in terms of utilizing technology and information.

BNI hopes that this step can support the improvement of service quality to taxpayers, which in the end is also expected to support the strengthening of the tax service base in order to increase state revenues.

Royke also believes that this collaboration will improve BNI’s service processes, such as the ease of paying taxes through the Agen46 mobile network.

As a provider of tax application services (PJAP), BNI also has e-invoicing, e-filling, e-billing services and also in the future related to the development of 16-digit NPWP and multi-billing tax payments.

“We are certainly grateful to the DGT for giving BNI the opportunity to contribute to realizing a reliable tax system. Moreover, this collaboration is also one of our passions at BNI for Go Digital,” he said.

For the implementation of the Health Protocol during the current Pandemic, Royke continued that BNI actively encourages customers to use Corporate Internet Banking in financial transactions, especially tax receipts. This also supports the go green movement because Proof of State Revenue and other Proof of Transactions will be submitted to depositors via email.

The various facilities offered in Corporate Internet Banking services are not only provided to Ministries/Agencies but can also be used by private parties who want to experience the convenience of depositing State Revenue through BNI.

“Diaspora and other parties with tax obligations in Indonesia can take advantage of the services of BNI’s Overseas Branch Offices located in Singapore, Hong Kong, Tokyo, Seoul, London and New York. This service is a manifestation of BNI’s mission to strengthen international services to support the needs of global business partners,” he concluded.
