“Here is Mane’s salary at the Allianz Arena.”

1NEWS – After rumors of unfulfilled salary increase requests Liverpool, Sadio Mane decided to leave Anfield. Mane chose to join the Bundesliga giants, Bayern Munich.

The Senegalese player immediately pressed a three-year contract until 2025. Mane’s salary at Bayern is reportedly making him one of the fantastically paid players.

Mane has expressed his desire to leave Anfield after six successful years at the Merseyside club. He was one of the biggest first signings of the Jurgen Klopp era at Liverpool.

Since signing for the Reds for 34 million pounds (Rp 618 billion) from Southampton. Mane has developed into one of the best players in world football. He formed a deadly attacking trio at Liverpool together Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah.

In total, Mane made 269 appearances in all competitions and scored 120 goals. He helped win the Premier League, Champions League, FA Cup, League Cup, UEFA Super Cup and Club World Cup during his six years at Anfield.

While at international level, Mane also enjoyed success with the Senegal national team. He scored the winning penalty in the African Cup of Nations final against Egypt’s Salah et al. He then helped his country again beat Egypt to seal a place at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

In this summer’s transfer window, Mane chose to leave Liverpool after rumors of a request for a salary increase that the club did not fulfill. However, his agent, Bicary Cisse, denied the rumors that had been circulating. Mane left Liverpool because he wanted a new challenge, not because of a salary issue.

During his time at Liverpool, the agent of the Senegal international said that Mane had a lot of money. However, he is one of the highest-paid players after being brought in by 35 million pounds (Rp 636 billion) to the Bavarian club.

As reported by German news outlet Bild, Mane will earn 17 million pounds (Rp 309 billion) a year at Bayern after he signs a contract until 2025. He will take home 51 million pounds (Rp 927 billion) during his time with the German champions.

“Those are false rumours. We don’t want to talk about that,” said Bicary Cisse. “Players of Sadio’s caliber can’t get the salary people talk about.”

“The numbers circulating are completely wrong,” he said.

“Sadio was already earning more than that when he joined Liverpool from Southampton. He extended his contract in 2018 and his salary is much higher than the figures circulating in the media.”

“I think Sadio chose the right club at the right time. He won everything at Liverpool.”

“It’s time to look for new challenges elsewhere. The Bayern project is very interesting.”

With a new challenge ahead of Mane, he hopes to bring his best form from Liverpool to Munich. He wants to help his new team win the Bundesliga for the 11th time in a row.
