PSS Sleman is a team from Group A that will accompany PSIS Semarang to advance to the quarter-finals of the 2022 President’s Cup.
PSS Sleman got this certainty after winning three points in their last match.
To be precise, PSS Sleman was able to overthrow Dewa United with a score of 1-0 at the Manahan Stadium, Surakarta, Central Java, on Monday (27/6/2022).
The additional three points made PSS Sleman lock the second position in Group A with seven points.
It is certain that the three teams below will not be able to catch up with Persita Tangerang, Persis Solo and Dewa United.
After the match against Dewa United, PSS Sleman’s coach, Seto Nurdiantoro, expressed gratitude.
Seto Nurdiantoro is grateful for the victory his team won.
Moreover, this victory also brought PSS Sleman to the quarter-finals of the 2022 President’s Cup.
“The first thing we are grateful for is the 1-0 win,” said Seto, in a press conference session after the game against Dewa United.
“Automatically we pass the next phase, that’s the most important thing,” he said.
However, Seto Nurdiantoro did not want to be complacent.
According to him, PSS Sleman’s performance against Dewa United has not been a benchmark for the strength of his team.
“Today’s match, I think, has not yet become a measure,” said Seto.
“Dewa united itself is also not a full team, but I appreciate the PSS players who want to win the game and want to qualify for the next phase.”
“It was seen earlier in the first half that there were still a lot of individual mistakes in decisions, maybe there is an evaluation that we have to improve.”
“Hopefully in the future every game the players can play freely,” he said,
