Ready to bury Benzema & Madrid alive, Lewandowski almost joined Barcelona – Robert Lewandowski’s transfer to Camp Nou draws near as Barcelona are now preparing a third bid in the next 24 hours to finally seal the transfer for the Bayern Munich striker, according to the Polish outlet Meczyki.

The prolific 33-year-old striker’s contract at the Allianz Arena expires on 30 June 2023 and he has publicly expressed his hope of leaving the Bundesliga champions and does not see him continuing his career with the Bavarian giants.

Barcelona has become his favorite destination with him having a personal ambition why he is so desperate to move to the Catalans, namely to bury Karim Benzema and Real Madrid alive when he wants to prove that he is better than the French forward, as his former agent Cezary Kucharski admits.

That’s why several other top European clubs have actually been linked with an interest in the Poland international, including Chelsea, but he has prioritized a move to Camp Nou and playing under manager Xavi Hernandez.

Reporter Sky Deutschland Florian Plettenberg claimed last month that Robert Lewandowski had even agreed personal terms with Barcelona. But so far Blaugrana still have not reached an agreement with Bayern Munich regarding the transfer fee.

Their initial two bids have been rejected by the Bundesliga side, according to reports Sport, and now they are preparing to make a third bid to finally finalize a transfer deal and bring the 33-year-old forward to the Catalans.

The report further states that the money offered to Bayern Munich for the transfer of Robert Lewandowski is up to IDR 628 billion, with the fee rising to IDR 785 billion after the bonus.
