According to reports from The Hollywood Reporterstar Eternals and Captain Marvel, Gemma Chan has officially signed on to star in Netflix’s time-travel-themed series. The series will be adapted based on the upcoming debut novel written by Pim WangTechawat entitled The Moon Represents My Heart. This project will be produced by Shawn Levy along with his 21 Laps production house.
The Moon Represents My Heart, is a novel that is being developed into a limited series as part of the 21 Laps overall deal with Netflix. The story centers around a British family with a secret ability to time travel. After their parents disappear, their son and daughter search for them across time from teenagers to adults.
Gemma Chan gains recognition for her role as Astrid in Crazy Rich Asians. He went on to star in two star-studded Marvel Studios films namely, Captain Marvel and Eternals as a cast of 2 different characters. He will next be seen in the film Don’t Worry Darling directed by Olivia Wilde with Harry Styles and Florence Pugh and the science fiction film New Regency, True Love as well as in the Apple TV+ series entitled Extrapolations.
The project will be produced by Chan, Levy, and Josh Barry. Senior VP of the studio, Emily Morris will oversee the project with manager Moera Ainai.
