The jersey number 66 is the choice of Persib Bandung’s new foreign player, Daisuke Sato. This player from the Philippines has his own reasons for wanting the number 66 shirt on Maung Bandung’s body.
According to a psychic (smart person / fortune teller) number 66 is recognized by Daisuke Sato as a good number and has very significant luck.
Therefore, Daisuke Sato did not hesitate to wear the jersey number 66 at Persib, moreover no one has used it when he officially became Maung Bandung’s strength.
“The reason I chose 66 is because this number is good according to the psychic for me. 2-3 years ago he (shaman) told me 66 is a good number, like giving me a lot of luck,” said Daisuke Sato at Graha Persib, Jalan Sulanjana, Bandung City, Monday (4/7/2022).
The Philippines national team player, who previously played in Thailand, also hopes to be protected by luck when defending Persib Bandung in every match later, especially in the 2022/2023 Liga 1 competition which is planned to be held at the end of this month.
He also feels that joining a big club like Persib is the luck he gets.
“And it’s true that I got a lot of luck like now, where I can join the best club in Indonesia. So I think it’s true,” added the 27-year-old with a smile.
On the other hand, Sato immediately brought his family to the city of Bandung to increase motivation and get closer during his career at Persib Bandung.
“My family feels very happy to be here (Bandung), even though we have only been here a few days, but already feel comfortable,” said Sato.
“We have seen several things and my son is very happy with what the city of Bandung has to offer. So I’m excited and can’t wait to start my adventure here,” added Sato as he finished.
It was mentioned that Bobotoh Persib always had high hopes in every match, the player who previously played in Thailand emphasized that he would always try to give the best for the Persib team.
“Obviously I’ve always wanted to play and give trophies to the fans at the end of the season and then celebrate together. I thought about it and I certainly felt enthusiastic,” said Sato, who chose the number 66 jersey at Persib.
Daisuke Sato is indeed an Asian foreign player who recently joined Persib Bandung. For Sato, this is his first career in Indonesia as a professional footballer.
