Eto’o was clearly very impressed with Okocha that day, but he wasn’t always as pleased as he seemed to admit there was a bigger player than him.

The Cameroonian legend helped Barcelona win the treble under Pep Guardiola, before moving to Inter Milan and doing the same with them under Jose Mourinho.

Lionel Messi also played in that team and Eto’o was not particularly impressed when suggestions were made that he was playing with the seven-time Ballon d’Or winner.

The former Real Mallorca forward responded immediately, saying, “No. He plays with me, it’s different. Messi plays with me. I don’t play with Messi. In my time, Messi played with me. It’s completely different. completely different.”
