Unlike Ronaldo, this Barcelona player even continues to practice even though he is asked to leave

Crazy Ball – Barcelona duo Riqui Puig and Neto showed their professionalism as players by returning to the club to report and undergo a pre-season medical on Monday despite being told they could find a new club this summer. Unlike Cristiano Ronaldo, who was asked to return by Manchester United, instead he missed training because he wanted to leave.

Indeed, as we have previously reported here that four players have been informed that they are not in manager Xavi Hernandez’s plans, so both of them may not have to report to the team’s training sessions and be allowed to find a new club.

Apart from the club’s youth academy midfielder Riqui Puig and reserve goalkeeper Neto, two other players also expected to leave are French centre-back Samuel Umtiti and versatile defender Oscar Mingueza.

According to news quoted via sports bible, those players are only welcome to return to the club’s pre-season camp on 11 July along with the players who took part in the UEFA Nations League last month.

However, Riqui Puig and Neto appear to be honoring their contracts and are returning to the club’s training camp according to the schedule of other players not involved in the UEFA Nations League, although perhaps while waiting for their agents to find a new club if there is an interest.

Riqui Puig is actually a product of the La Masia academy and he made his senior debut for the club during the 2018/2019 season. He was a regular member of the club’s first team and is seen as one of the brightest young prospects at Camp Nou.

Neto, meanwhile, arrived from Valencia in a swap deal which saw Jasper Cillessen move in the opposite direction. During his three seasons at the Catalans, he made just 21 appearances for Barcelona in all competitions.
