1NEWS, It was proven that corruption in the case of land acquisition for the toll road in Malang, several years ago, the former Commander of the V/Brawijaya Military Regional Command, Lt. Gen. (Ret.) Djadja Suparman would be executed in a military prison.

This decision was made after the 4-year prison sentence received by the former Pangdam became legally binding in 2016.

In response to this, the 3-star General who is also a former Pandam stated his readiness to serve his sentence based on the decision of the Military Court Judges.

“I am ready to enter the Cimahi Military Correctional Institution on July 16, 2022. They want me to die in prison!” said Djaja in a press release, Sunday (10/7/2022).

However, he actually questioned why the decision of the Military Court Judge would only be carried out at this time. Even though Djadja himself was entangled in a corruption case related to land acquisition for toll roads in Malang, this happened several years ago.

“Why only now? Where have you been for the past 6 years?” said the former Military Commander of Brawijaya 1997-1998.

Djadja claimed to have asked the Chief Military High Commissioner in 2016 to be executed. But the request was rejected.

“Finally there was omission for 6 years. Who is responsible and what is the compensation if you have to go to prison for 4 years and have to die in prison?” said Djadja.

As is well known, this case began with the land dispute case in Waru, when Djadja Suparman received Rp 17.6 billion in financial assistance from PT Citra Marga Nusaphala Persada (CNMP) in early 1998.
