Crazy Ball – Andrea Barzagli has great optimism on his former team’s two new signings, saying that Paul Pogba and Angel di Maria will help Juventus to become a great team again next season.
The Turin giants only managed to finish in the top four of the Serie A final standings last season, the second year in a row they have lost their Scudetto title while they have also failed to win any trophies, their first in more than a decade.
For that manager Massimiliano Allegri wants to bring big changes to his squad and so far Juventus’ transfer business is going pretty well after successfully signing Paul Pogba from Manchester United and Angel di Maria from Paris Saint-Germain, both on free transfers.
Andrea Barzagli, who retired in 2019 with eight Serie A titles to his name, is confident that the two signings will make a huge impact on the Turin giants and help Bianconeri be a great team again next season.
He said, “Pogba and Di Maria balance the team with their arrival. Lukaku has proven that he can make the difference at Inter Milan, but the two new signings for Juventus are also very similar in character and quality. Pogba and Di Maria will make Juventus great again.”
In addition to his second transfer, Juventus are now also trying to sign Nicolo Zaniolo, who is priced at AS Roma for IDR 762 billion and they rejected a player swap deal and only accepted a cash offer.
Regarding the 23-year-old midfielder, Andrea Barzagli added, “It’s normal that Juventus want to bring in Italy’s best young players. Zaniolo can make the difference and I’m curious to see him play in a team that plays for the Champions League.”
