1NEWS – On Thursday (7/7) a Chinese netizen gave new news on Weibo social media about the legal battle between Wang Leehom and his ex-wife, Lee Jinglei. According to the netizen, Jinglei (35) has been found guilty of contempt of court for failing to submit evidence of Leehom’s infidelity, and faces a fine for doing so.

Jinglei was also accused of refusing the 46-year-old pop star to see their three children – Jiali (7), Jiana (5), and Jiayao (3) – who had been living with Jinglei. In addition, the court has also approved Leehom’s application for visitation rights over his children.

The claim then received a response from Jinglei. He posted a legal letter on Weibo to refute the alleged claim of contempt of court.

“The New York Court has rejected all requests made by Mr. Wang Leehom while Miss Lee Jinglei’s request was granted,” said the letter issued by Jinglei and his three lawyers.

The letter also urges the media and netizens not to spread unverified stories or else Jinglei and his lawyers will take legal action against them.

Wang Leehom’s own agency reacted calmly to the legal letter by saying it would not comment because the New York court ruling had not yet been published.

Wang Leehom and Lee Jinglei engaged in a month-long war of words on social media after news of their split broke in December, with Lee accusing Wang of multiple affairs in a revelation that shocked audiences.
