Crazy Ball – Barcelona could reportedly consider a loan deal for Frenkie de Jong in this summer’s transfer window in a bid to reduce the club’s wage bill, according to reports.
The Catalan giants have spent a lot of money in this summer’s transfer window, around IDR 2.7-2.8 trillion to buy Raphinha, Robert Lewandowski and Jules Kounde, while Andreas Christensen and Franck Kessie arrived on free transfers.
It’s just that apart from Barcelona’s extravagant purchases in the transfer market, they still have salary arrears to a number of squad members, one of which is Frenkie de Jong who has a salary receivable of IDR 307 billion.
The 25-year-old player is indeed willing to get a delay in paying his salary during the Coronavirus pandemic, unfortunately that Barca instead of paying off their salary arrears, the club is trying to sell the former Ajax Amsterdam star to reduce the club’s salary burden.
Manchester United are the main interest in securing Frenkie de Jong’s services, and according to news quoted via Fabrizio Romano, they have even agreed a transfer fee with Barcelona worth IDR 1.3 trillion, only the midfielder doesn’t want to be sold to Old Trafford.
Now, according to the news revealed by Sport, The Catalan giants are trying to find a different solution to this problem which is to let him go on a loan deal so that he can still remain as a player Blaugrana.
Chelsea and Bayern Munich have been touted as potential destinations with the Netherlands international midfielder would be open to a move to either side as they will play in the Champions League next season, something that his main fan, Manchester United, lacks.
