1NEWS, Chairman of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Firli Bahuri said the celebration of the Islamic New Year 1 Muharram 1444 Hijriyah was full of meaning.
One of them, Firli underlined the importance of total determination and effort in realizing the ideals of change, not least in the fight against corruption.
“The virtue of the month of Muharram, especially the example of the Hijrah of the Great Prophet Muhammad SAW, implies a life lesson about change which has always been a dream and hope, which should be accompanied by effort and strong determination in carrying out amar ma’ruf nahi munkar, so that we become virtuous, simple individuals. , honest and istiqomah maintain integrity as His servant, “said Firli, Saturday (30/7/2022).
According to him, hijrah which means moving, away from, cutting off or leaving badness is closely related to the implementation of the amar ma’ruf nahi munkar.
Both are called inseparable because both are orders or obligations from Allah to every Muslim.
On that basis, through the momentum to commemorate the Hijriyah New Year, Firli emphasized the determination of all KPK personnel to become increasingly determined in their jihad against corruption.
“As a form of representation of amar ma’ruf nahi munkar which has become the spirit in every heartbeat, breath and footstep, we all members of the Corruption Eradication Commission of the Republic of Indonesia are determined to endow ourselves and our families in the fight against corruption in this republic,” he explained.
He stated that corruption is not just a crime that harms state finances. The impact of corruption, he continued, destroys all aspects of life.
By learning from countries that have failed to prosper their people due to corruption, Firli not only understands her job as an ordinary task but as a jihad that must be won.
“Especially seeing the great support and hope for the dreams of all nations in this republic who long for the motherland to be free from corruption, God willing, this will always be a renewable positive energy for us, in eradicating corruption in the Republic of Indonesia,” he said.
