Persija Jakarta defender Maman Abdurahman revealed that the players had received an evaluation from coach Thomas Doll regarding the first week of matches.
The team’s shortcomings that caused the performance not to be optimal against Bali United and then have been tried to be corrected in every training session.
“What is certain is that we have evaluated the shortcomings and weaknesses. In this week’s training session we did our best to improve it,” said Maman as quoted from Persija’s official website.
Meanwhile, in the previous match Persis also lost at home to Dewa United with a final score of 2-3.
However, Maman did not want this condition to make Persija feel the upper hand.
The 40-year-old defender explained that Thomas wanted his team to focus less on the opposing team.
“The coach asked us to focus on our own team. As I mentioned before, the coach did an evaluation of last week’s results and we have made improvements,” said Maman.
“For the game against Persis, maybe before the game we will study the opposing team how they will play,” he concluded.
In addition, the former Persib Bandung player also admitted that he was quite impressed with the presence of a foreign player from Bahrain, Abdulla Yusuf Helal.
Yusuf’s participation in this week’s training session is considered by Maman to have a positive influence on the team.
“Friends here are very happy with Yusuf’s arrival. He is also quite friendly. His arrival has had an impact on each of our training sessions,” said Maman.
“In addition, Yusuf also has an influence both on and off the field,” he said. (Skor.id)
